Our new short doc is now streaming on The New York Times website! “Supreme Court v. the American Voter” showcases the infamous 2013 court case that gutted the Voting Rights Act of 1965 and the impact it will have on the upcoming election. The film was produced/directed by Kelly Duane de la Vega and Jessica Anthony, and written/co-directed by our very own Mike Nicholson. Big thanks to editor Don Swaynos and graphic/title designer Lauren Dumasius for getting it over the finish line.

Coming Out of the Infertility Closet

Congratulations to Amanda Micheli on the success of her new documentary haveababy, a critically acclaimed new film about people willing to go to any lengths to make their dreams of parenthood come true.

Picturebox created all the titles and graphics for the film, which had it’s world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in April.

From Slacker to American Master

After premiering at Sundance, and playing to packed houses during SXSW, Richard Linklater – dream is destiny is now headed to American Masters on PBS. Picturebox co-produced the film alongside Arts + Labor and Black/Bernstein Productions.

We’re honored to have had the opportunity to collaborate with directors Louis Black and Karen Bernstein and the rest of the fantastic filmmaking team.

Some of our best work can be seen now on HBO in the documentary film Very Semi-Serious: A Partially Thorough Portrait of New Yorker Cartoonists. Picturebox created all of the titles and animations for Leah Wolchock’s wonderful film, highlighting hundreds of cartoons from the beginnings for the New Yorker through today.
